Washington DC Weather: Hottest week of the year ahead...

Hottest week of the summer is upon us?.

Today:
Isolated Pockets of AM Fog, Mostly Sunny, Hot & Humid
Highs: 90?-95?
Wind: SW 5-15 mph
Overnight:
Few Clouds, Warm & Muggy
Lows: 69?-76?
Wind: W 4-8 mph
Tomorrow:
Mostly Sunny, Very Hot & Steamy, Stray PM Storm
Highs: Low to Mid 90s
Heat Index: 100?-105?

A big time heat wave is in store for the upcoming week, our first full week of 90 degree + days and for a large part of the week, upper 90s look likely. Factor in the humidity and heat indices; ?feels like? values could approach 105? to 110?! We will not really be able to count much on a cooling afternoon shower other than a slight possibility Tuesday or Wednesday, as a strong high pressure will settle overhead. Best shower chances will be west along the slopes of the mountains. A cold front by next weekend may yield the greatest chance for scattered thundershowers, although timing is not ideal. But even then temperatures will remain in the 90s. Stay cool, hydrate, do not over exert yourself ? it will be a tough stretch. Try and have a great day!
