The Novomatic Group of Companies brought colleagues from all its subsidiaries throughout Latin America to display its latest range of products at SAGSE 2012.
Innovate Gaming caught up with Max Lindenberg, AGI Director of Marketing & Business Development, during the show in Buenos Aires and asked about Novomatic?s featured products and the company?s area of focus in Latin America.
?Latin America is still one of the hotspots of the international casino industry and Novomatic is focusing very much on this through our increased acquisitions in a number of countries in the continent.?
Is Novomatic launching any new products for this year?s SAGSE?
For this 20th anniversary of the Sagse show we have a great range of new products. We are presenting for the very first time to the South American market, our innovative approach to the traditional game of roulette that we call Pinball Roulette. It is a single player roulette game giving the casino guests the opportunity to be both the dealer and the player at the same time. Players can launch the roulette ball into the wheel using a pinball mechanism, which greatly increases interactivity for the player.
The feedback for Pinball Roulette so far at this SASGE show and at last month?s G2E has been overwhelming. Just yesterday the first machines went into the G-Casinos in Great Britain. We are already preparing the delivery of a big amount of these machines to different markets in Latin America.
We also have another focus this year with our powerful stand-alone gaming platform Novoline Interactive, featuring a great range of stand-alone games. As it is a server-based-ready platform, the operator can at any point bring a stand-alone platform into a fully-fledged server-based gaming environment via simple plug and play.
Connected to the Novoline platform we have out new jackpot concept at the show Magic Joker Jackpot, a four-level mystery progressive jackpot. The unique feature of this new product however, uses a card game to determine the outcome of the feature. After each spin, if a player lands on a joker card in the base game the jackpot card game can be triggered. The games this year are presented in our latest cabinets, the new Super-V+ Gaminator III and the NovoStar slant-top cabinets
We also have a selection of pre-owned slot machines at the show, giving our clients also the opportunity to purchase a cost-effective product. However, using a new platform, the CoolFire+1 platform with the latest CoolFire 2 games.
Last but not least, we are showcasing the latest range of products from Octavian de Argentina. They are presenting the online casino management system ACP (Accounting Control Progressives). Highly scalable and modular, it caters to all sizes of corporations.
What are your strongest markets in the Latin American region?
Novomatic has been active in the Latin American market since a long time. The first countries where we have been active were Peru, where as well as being the biggest supplier, we are also the biggest operator in the market.
During the last few years we have increased our company infrastructure with new companies in Argentina, which is a very good market for us. We have a new subsidiary opened just last year in Colombia with AGI Gaming Colombia and also Mexico is a fantastic market for us at the moment.
Is Latin America a key focus for Novomatic over the next 1-2 years?
Latin America is still one of the hotspots of the international casino industry and Novomatic is focusing very much on this through our increased acquisitions in a number of countries in the continent. We are now already active in every jurisdiction where gaming is regulated.
Novomatic has also recently established a new company in North America. Based in Florida, Fort Lauderdale, Novomatic America is led by our Managing Director Jens Halle. This company will also act as a hub for Latin America, to further improve our sales and after-sales services throughout the whole region.
How has this year?s SAGSE been for Novomatic?
It has been an extremely good show for us. We have brought here our colleagues from all the different countries in which we have subsidiaries such as Chile, Argentina, Peru, Paraguay, Colombia, Mexico, and all of them have been very busy during these three days.
We were also honoured by receiving another award by the Sagse organisation for the most significantly expanding company in South America. Earlier this year, our managing director Jens Halle also received Sagse?s new Golden Eagle Award in Panama for his lifetime achievement in the Latin American gaming market.
